Lori Limes - Office Administrator
Lori joined the SPCA in February, 2003. She has extensive animal experience, having worked at the Animal Rescue League of Boston for 16 years. At the League, Lori worked as the adoption supervisor; and later as a technician assisting with surgeries and carrying out lab tests. Ultimately she became the clinic manager . Lori married a Bermudian and moved to the Island in 1993. She worked at the Ocean View Cat Farm in Smith's Parish for six years before joining the SPCA. Her duties include bookkeeping, front office administration and adult volunteer management for our various fundraising events.
Beaman Smith - Inspector
Beaman joined the SPCA in November 2004. His past experience includes working in various fields of nursing both in Bermuda and in the US. He also has experience with 'pet therapy' for individuals with mental and physical challenges. While in the US, Beaman was a faithful volunteer for the Michigan Humane Society for almost 10 years, with specific attachment to the department responsible for cruelty investigations. During this time he became involved with dog agility and continues this pastime in Bermuda, participating with his beloved Border Collie "Joy". Beaman is well known in the local horse community and is an avid rider and a member of the Bermuda Hunt Club.
