Roxy's Rescue Story - cont.
..... the staff and volunteers at the Shelter nursed her back to health. Three months later she had gained 21 lbs - doubling what she weighed when we picked her up! She was well on her way to recovery.
We are happy to report that Roxy has now been adopted into a loving home.
In Bermuda we are lucky that cases like Roxy are not seen every day - but they do happen. The SPCA is the only organization there to help and where possible prosecute. But we cannot do it without your help. As with everything in this world it takes money and time.
The SPCA is a non-profit organization that relies heavily on the generosity of the public to support us, through memberships, donations, bequests and by attending our fund raising events.
In addition to our shelter operating expenses of approximately $600,000 per annum we also require additional funding so that we can run meaningful programs and campaigns, to enable us to educate the community on animal welfare issues.
Here are some ways you can help us:
8 x 11 photocopy paper Bath Towels
Bleach Bounty Paper Towels
Cat Litter Tide High Efficiency (HE) Laundry detergent
A circular Clothes line Color printer (office grade)
Contact us anytime and help us help them!
