Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer with the Bermuda SPCA. You can help the animals by giving some of your time and energy. There are a number of ways in which you can volunteer, whether it's by walking dogs, helping to socialise cats or helping out with fund-raising activities.
DogWalking takes place between 9:00 and 11:00 in the morning and between 1:00 and 3:00 in the afternoon. Sunday morning dog walking is from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m.
The doggie residents at the shelter eagerly await the arrival of our volunteers each day! It generally takes between one and two hours to exercise all the dogs, depending on the number of volunteers at the time.
Cat Cage Cleaning takes place every single day!! Volunteers remove the bedding, sanitize the cages and the litter pans, provide fresh food and water and give each cat a cuddle.
Cat socialising play with, talk to and help groom the cats, helping to provide a home-like environment for them until they are adopted. If you cannot commit to a regular time each week but would still like to help, you may consider signing up to become an S.P.C.A. volunteer fundraiser.
Our fundraisers are vital in helping us with our annual fundraising activities such as Tag Days, annual Animal Expo & Fair, helping out at the S.P.C.A. booths at various events including the Dog Show and the Cat Show.
